One of the most overlooked drills is the target acquisition drill. It’s easy enough to do drills with one target, and those really are important for practicing various elements of firing a weapon. But no attempt at a kill-shot is effective if you can’t differentiate between a friend or foe. This particular drill doesn’t involve moving targets, but it’s still a great way to practice target acquisition.
If you want to challenge yourself even more, move closer to the target to practice a significant change in your aim. You can also reposition targets so one is behind the other in an effort to account for shooting when something or someone is in the way.
