Mysterious Van Prompts Call to ATF

(TacticalNews.com) – Ever since the shooting death of Walter Wallace Jr. at the hands of police, when he refused to drop a knife, Philadelphia has been struggling with unrest. With tensions growing and riots potentially brewing, a mysterious van prompted a call to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). An unnamed person(s) discovered the abandoned van about an hour after the city’s curfew had started on Wednesday, October 28th.

The contents of the vehicle were concerning.

There was no one inside the van. Local police barricaded the van — ATF and a bomb squad removed several propane tanks, torches, and some “possible dynamite sticks.” It’s not yet clear whether this van is related to the unrest in Philadelphia over Walter Wallace Jr’s death.
