(TacticalNews.com) – Stocks for major chicken producers are dropping as a result of recent legal action. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has indicted four current and former executives of major broiler chicken producers. Broiler chickens are raised specifically for human consumption and are sold to consumers and restaurants.
This caused a significant drop in stock prices for major meat producers.

The one-count indictment charges the senior executives with conspiracy to fix prices and rig bids. These practices resulted in higher-than-usual meat prices, undermining the economy and causing Americans to struggle to put food on the table.
An indictment only alleges a crime has been committed; all those accused are innocent until proven guilty. Still, the FBI has stated that it is committed to investigating allegations of price-fixing, and holding the perpetrators accountable.
