(TacticalNews.com) – Imagine someone breaking into your home and stealing your valuables. Not a fun thought. While many choose to store important items in a safe, this isn’t necessarily the best way to keep them out of the hands of criminals. Burglars often either crack the code or simply steal the entire safe and open it at a different location.
So what options does one have to protect their cherished valuables, or even their hard-earned cash?
The video above gives some great examples of places to hide your money. Of course, these methods are great, but we have a couple more suggestions. The first is to bury (in a waterproof container) any valuables you don’t want to be stolen in your yard; just be sure to mark the area well, so you don’t lose your property.
Another alternative is to create a decoy safe, while your real safe is hidden away. The idea of a decoy safe is to allow the intruders to steal the safe, only to later find out that it was empty, or at least close to it.
These are only a couple of options you have, not only to store cash or valuables, but also important documents or even USB drives. There are plenty of options out there, and you’re really only limited by your imagination. Be sure to think like the enemy; know and understand what they’re looking for. Once you can do this, you’ll be able to better protect your home and valuables.
