Defend Yourself on a Rainy Day

Defend Yourself on a Rainy Day

(TacticalNews.com) – We all know the saying “when it rains it pours,” and for the most part that tends to be true. What if we told you some of those rainy days don’t have to pour so hard. Let’s look at it this way. If it’s raining, you are probably carrying an umbrella. Chances are your day is actually better than you assume it to be, especially if someone else decides to try and make your day hell.

Umbrellas could quite possibly be the most unsuspected self-defense item a person may carry on them. Glenn Hairston Tai Chi explains more:

As seen in the video an umbrella can be quite effective. While there are specially made “tactical” umbrellas on the market, let’s take a look at how versatile an everyday umbrella can be:

  • They’re lightweight.
  • Most can be taken anywhere.
  • Umbrellas are strong and durable.
  • Ergonomic grips aid in better handling.
  • Stainless steel tips work well for jabbing.
  • They’re easy to swing.
  • You can keep the element of surprise.

While it may come as no surprise to see someone walking around with an umbrella, chances are that if an attacker came at you, the last thing they would expect you to defend yourself with would be an umbrella.
