(TacticalNews.com) – The number of ways a person can utilize a tree is limited only by the imagination. Well, it just so happens saplings (baby trees) are also very useful. Their utility varies depending on the age and size of the sapling, so let’s take a look at some of the uses we can get out of them.
The video above demonstrates how just about anyone can create a bow (and arrows) from saplings. Use smaller saplings for sets that are easier for children to use. Saplings are also great for:
- Supporting other plants such as tomatoes
- Creating privacy screens
- Making trellises
- Funneling fish traps
- Making snares and traps
- Fashioning walking sticks
These are only some examples of how you can utilize saplings. It’s no surprise, with so many plants that can help us survive, that there are also plenty we should avoid. Be sure to check out some plants that need to be on your “avoid at all costs” list.
Do you know of any other unusual ways to use a sapling? Have you ever tried to make any of the items listed above? Reply to your email and let us know. We would love to hear from you!
